curry night
curry night
This is the Westies institution that gets acted out on the first Wednesday of every month; details of which will appear here a week or so before the actual day.
If you sampled the fare on the last curry night out why not rate it by casting your vote below. Previous polls should eventually provide a useful insight into the varied quality of curry one can expect to get from Glasgow. The polls will remain open until the next curry night is posted; usually about a week or so before the first Wednesday of the month.
Finally, at the foot of the page, you'll find one of our club songs; it's one written about the infamous 'Big' Al Campbell, who always enjoys his curries... (here's more club songs and verse)
next curry night: to be announced
Check back here in a few days before the first Wednesday of the month. In the meantime, if you went along to the the last curry night make sure you cast your vote! Read below...

hey al campbell
(sung to the tune of Hey Big Spender)
Whenever he bounds down the hill
You can see he is a man of distinction
(Well this is a piece of fiction)
His gear's soakin' he's so unrefined
20 gallons of persperation in his vest you'll find
So when he gets to the end
He'll be five stones lighter than he used to be
Hey Al Campbell, sweat another pound for me
So he'll go and he'll run run run
From the starting gun gun gun
Then he'll build up a real sweat
Then he'll build up a real sweat
On the first Wednesday of the month
You're sure to find this guy acting in a flurry
Ordering everyone's curry
Hey Mister Waiter would you be so kind
To supply us with pakora of any variety you can find
And after he's had his fill
He'll be mopping up his brow furiously
Hey Al Campbell sweat another pound for me
Don't you like to eat nan nan nan
Stuff in as much as you can can can
Helps you build up a real sweat
Helps you build up a real sweat
Whangie, Cort-ma Law and Dumgoyne
Are some of the hills you'll find a race on
With superb organisation
But don't dare you mention to this chap
That you haven't a map and compass
He won't take this crap
If you have to face his wrath
You'll be sweating buckets even more than he
Hey Al Campbell
Hey Al Campbell
Hey Al Campbell
Sweat another pound for me
